Well, actually, being at work is easier than being at home. I was called for a one day trip late Thursday night, and fortunately, I packed my cooler for the whole 3 days of my availability, because it's Sunday and I got home a couple of hours ago. Now my hubby is eating a brat he grilled, and my stomach is growling. :(
OF COURSE my trip went thru Canada on Friday morning (AND yesterday, but we didn't have to get off the plane), so I put on my brave face and LIED to customs. "Nope, no food". Eeeeek! I'm such a bad liar! But my flying partner promised me they never look in our bags. He didn't. He didn't even notice I was carrying a cooler, because he was sitting behind his desk being Mr. Grumpy Gus. So I heated up my soup on the plane the first day and ate it for lunch (my juice was still frozen!) and then had the juice for dinner. Last night I heated up my soup in a hotpot in my hotel room. Easy!
My only problem, is that being in a different time zone several times a day, and then sleeping in a different time zone really messes up my schedule. The first day I missed a green drink, and then yesterday I missed BOTH the afternoon purple drink and the green drink. I was feeling pretty tired, mostly as a result of all the hours we put in, I think, because my flying partners, who were eating "real" food, were exhausted as well. I called G and told him I thought I had to skip my exercise because I was pooped (should I use that word in that context here???) but he TOTALLY supported me and did not enable me, and said I should GO to the gym! So I did. I walked about a mile and a half and even jogged a half. I couldn't believe I had enough energy to do that, I'm NOT a jogger. I ate an extra cup of soup for dinner, and was feeling pretty good, actually!
But this morning, I woke up at 4. What????? Why????? I just wasn't tired anymore. So I laid there for an hour, thinking that I wouldn't be able to lay around for the next few days. Got up and got ready to go, but started feeling icky. I decided to try to switch the purple drink first thing for the green, so I wouldn't have to drink the green while I was on the plane, since I was to be sitting in a passenger seat rather than working home. The mere thought of drinking the green made me queasy. I had green tea. That was ok, but I still felt a bit icky. I wonder if missing TWO drinks yesterday had this effect on me today? Dunno. I still feel a little light headed and weak. Fortunately, no headache.
I had a few hungries this morning on the plane, it was still super early, but I'd been awake for quite a while. So I juiced as soon as I got home, and now I see I have 15 minutes before green drink. I hope I can stomach it now.
